Took care of the problem once and for all

TLDR: 100% recommend this location. Quick response, service, and great customer service. Problem: Car started having issues the night prior. Radiator fan continued to blow after vehicle was turned off. Coolant was at proper level so we assumed it was a fuse or the relay for the cooling fan. I called Lex Broadie @ 715 AM, and explained the issue. I was told they had a tech who could look at the vehicle. I arrived around 810, and my vehicle was taken back about 825. I was allowed to sit in the large waiting area, as i didn't have another car to leave. Around 1115, I was called up and my repair was complete! The relay switch was the issue, and they had fixed it! Less than 3 hours in the service center and I was able to leave with a repaired relay switch. Looking at the receipt, it looks like the diagnostic was $80, and the part and labor was $133.99. The relay was estimated about $57 elsewhere, so it could be cheaper for the part, but I was happy to pay these prices to have my car fixed so easily and quickly. My only word of advice would be to be cautious with the waiver they may present to you. It states you waive the Hawaii state law that mandates a written estimate. Waiving this allows them to make the repairs, and then tell you what was repaired and the cost. I was a bit confused on it, and I didn't ask questions; but ultimately the situation worked out for me, was quick, and not too pricey. I will definitely go back in the future if I run into any issues!

EXCELLENT SERVICE

Beware, this place will tell you you need repairs for things you don't need repairs for. I went for a safety check and failed with needing to pay $2,000 for a repair to pass, and two more things that needed attention/repair not related to safety check. When I decided to take my car to my regular mechanic, who does not do safety checks, to check what was said needed to be fixed (which surprised the Lex Brodie counter guy), my mechanic said my car was safe and should pass. I took it back to Lex Brodie but they insisted that it still needed repair. After the 30 days passed for the failed safety, I took my car to another safety inspection place and passed no problem!!! Also, the other two things that was said to be wrong with my car, my mechanic showed me that there was no leaking of any kind as the area was dry, no oil. My 75-year-old mom was a regular at this place but now takes her car somewhere else. She has the tire warranty so I told her to go to the Waipahu location instead. I went to Waipahu for a flat repair prior to going to Pearlridge location, as I liked the large waiting room at Pearlridge, and Waipahu did not charge me a thing. The screw did not puncture the inner tube, so they simply removed the screw and sent me on my way free of charge. I was prepared for a long wait a while but we were there for less than 30 minutes!!! In terms of honest service, Waipahu has proven to be the more honest Lex Brodie location!!!
