I had a flat tire and needed it fixed! Eddie P was great in quoting a honest time with the other work they had. The shop has free Wifi, Coffee, ac and TV in the clean lounge. I look forward to going there when I have car trouble.

I probably would have rated Kaneohe Lex Brodies at 5-stars for their actual work performed on my 2007 Mustang GT (Invoice #3030084) on Friday, October 10, 2014 were it not for the fact that one or more of their employees had driven my vehicle enough to cause my gasoline gauge to register Empty when I picked it up in the evening and with an alert I only had 17 miles of gasoline remaining. I had dropped it off with 1/4 tank of gas remaining. The reason for driving my vehicle was to "test drive" it, ostensibly to ascertain the issue with my brakes and power steering. However, while driving my wife's car on Kahekili Highway towards Laie at approximately 4:03 pm, I looked in my rear-view mirror and I observed a mechanic behind the wheel of my car talking on his cell phone (not legal nor wise) and my granddaughter and I saw him change lanes and turn right on Kahuhipa Street so I had assumed he was headed back to the shop. After I got home and waited until just after 4:30pm I contacted the shop and asked for the status of my vehicle. I was told it was out being test-driven. I responded that I had seen my car on the road over a 1/2 hour before and I expressed my opinion that I believed that he was joy-riding since a test drive doesn't need to take over 1/2 hour. He called within a few minutes and told me the car was back but they still needed to perform an alignment and that they should be completed by 5:30pm. I had my wife drop me off and I picked up my car shortly before 5:30pm. When I got in my car I noted that my car was down to a gallon or less remaining. Two other things. First I didn't ask for a 2-year alignment ($149) doesn't Lex Brodie offer a single alignment service for substantially less? Second, I had a Hawaii Vehicle Inspection performed at that same location on 12/06/2013 (Invoice 3020784). However,the motor vehicle computer files indicate my vehicle's safety inspection has expired. In other words, there is an issue between your shop "sending" the information and the motor vehicle "receiving" the information. I asked Eddie if he couldn't resend the info and told me he could not and suggested I contact the city and county. I replied that I already knew the only credible "fix" would be that I would have to go down and stand in line and be inconvenienced because of a glitch between your shops computer and the motor vehicle computer. Very frustrating.

EP (i think its Eric) was great.He helped me with great service and was welcoming (even on a busy monday morning). He also answered all my questions. I will now only come to Lex Brodies and no where else.

Given this company's reputation, I was shocked with my experience! My story: Made an appointment for a safety inspection (approx 45 min). Two hours later, the mechanic told me they hadn't started on my vehicle. Three hours later, the mechanic called me and told me I needed $2900 worth of work and that my vehicle wouldn't pass inspection until all that work was completed. I left and got a second opinion from a friend who has been working on vehicles for 12+ years. Bottom line, I needed new front struts and brake pads. The assessment Lex Brodies gave me was UNETHICAL and downright FALSE. They told me my vehicle REQUIRED strut mounts for $454, which was FALSE They told me my vehicle REQUIRED a full brake overhaul, for $473, which was FALSE They told me they had to special order parts from the dealer, which was FALSE. O'Reilly's auto parts got me the struts for $138/strut; Lex Brodies quoted me at $386. They told me I required rear shocks for $428 which was completely FALSE. Lex Brodie's also nickeled and dimed an extra $400 on REQUIRED accessories needed to make the repairs. Again, they quoted me on $2900+ worth of repairs. After my trustworthy mechanic looked at it, all I needed was $350 in parts plus 3 hours labor. I got my vehicle inspected post repairs and passed with flying colors. These people should be reported to the Better Business Bureau and investigated for unethical practices.

9-20-14 When I dropped off the car this morning for a re-scheduled service appointment (she erroneously scheduled me a week earlier, I found out the mechanic was off when I called the day before to see if I could come in couple hours earlier the next day) service advisor was less than welcoming, admitted she was "tired" and could barely crack a smile. I have been a long-time customer of the Kaneohe store and usually have experienced excellent service. I also am not fully satisfied with my car still having some of the same symptoms (shuddering at idle while A/C is on) after idle valve replacement (costly part from Honda) and Lex Brodies not being able to repair everything despite using expensive diagnostic equipment a few weeks ago. They had my car for about 7 hours today and failed to go the extra mile to take care of the symptoms and the A/C idling problem. This is the first time I have ever written an unsatisfactory review for this store. Not a happy customer today.

This store was EXTREMELY BETTER than the previous Lex Brodie locarion We bought from. They were very personable, knowledgeable, and sincerely concerned with my car. They also taught me some things I didn't know about my Porsche,, like the two back tires are not the same size as the two front tires- on purpose! !! They are great.
