Aloha- I've been a customer of Lex Brodie for many years. I did choose LB this year again even after checking Costco prices which were about $200 less. Everything everywhere for service and goods has increased quite a bit the past few year's. The deciding factors were Costco uses nitrogen to fill the tires, quality of service and accessibility. Year's ago I bought tires from Costco and I did not care for having to go to Costco to put air in my tires. I have no reservations about the quality of service but LB is always superior. As I live in Kailua, I have the option to go to the LB Kaneohe location for checking my tire pressure which is super convenient. I come to the LB town location when I have town errands and doing my yearly safety and necessary tire rotations. LB staff are always very personable and professional. The waiting room is nice and cool to relax in while waiting for service. I can read or enjoy WiFi. The only minor disappointment this year was having an appointment at 11 am (I was exactly on time) and my car not being serviced until about 1:30 pm or so. I had to bring it to staff's attention at about 1:30 pm. I was told at check in that it'd be about an hour and a half. So, I went to some shops close by and returned at about 12:30 pm and sat in the waiting room. I did check back in to let staff know I was there. When told my car was done, I asked if they changed my tire sensors as my tire light had been flashing but that hadn't been done. I had asked about the tire sensors and pricing when I made the appointment. The staff person said they could do it but I opted to leave as I had some holiday shopping to do and wanted to avoid traffic going home to Kailua. So, when the tire gauge light flashes again, I need to call to make an appointment to have the batteries changed and the tire monitoring system recalibrated. I work in an animal hospital handling customer service. I totally understand that LB probably utilizes double booking due to no shows and cancellations. The Monday I was there looked super busy. But perhaps a different time frame would be more helpful for LB and clients. Had I known, I would have then sat down to have lunch and a coffee; there's loads of great eateries in Kakaako. I got back in the timeframe I was given so I can get my car out of the way to make room for another. I'm not upset in the least just sharing my thoughts. The staff did deduct $40 from my tire service which was a nice gesture. My new tires are great and my ride is nice and smooth. Thank you and Happy holidays! June Seto Kailua
