Had a big screw in my tire and tried to plug it myself. It held but was still leaking slowly. I decided to schedule an appointment at Lex Brodies. I came on time for my scheduled appointment, but it still took over 2 hours to get my tire looked at. Fortunately they were able to patch the tire and I was on my way. 3 days later the tire went flat while my wife was driving. When I looked at the tire, I noticed that they didn’t take my original plug out of the tire and just tired patching from the inside. I thought for sure they would’ve redone the plug. I called up Lex Brodies and explained the situation. They told me to come in to see if the tire could be repaired. Again I scheduled an appointment and waited a while, then they let me know that the tire couldn’t be repaired. I was very angry at this point because I had to wait again for a long time just for them to tell me that they couldn’t repair it. I don’t think they even looked at it. I drove off on my spare and went the following day to Sam’s club. While I did have to wait for a little over an hour, they went ahead and repaired the tire. Guess what… they took my original plug out and put in a new one correctly. I’ve now been driving on the repaired tire for nearly a month now without issue. If you have a screw in your tire, I recommend you skip Lex Brodie’s and go directly to Sam’s Club or Costco to get it fixed.
Aloha Mr. Ward, Thank you very much for your review and your feedback. Please accept our sincerest apologies for the very understandable frustrations! Sadly, at this point, there is no way for us to see what was the issue with the plug & patch repair combo that we perform. Please note, the plug portion of our process looks like what customers will sometimes use for the outside in external plug pair, thus although it may have looked like the plug you saw after our repair was the one you put in, it was most likely the plug we had installed which would have included the repair with the liquid patch process we have used for 15+ years with almost no issues (Our plug patch combo follows TIAs requirements to seal the puncture with the patch on the inner liner). We suspect the patch process was not allowed to dry properly before the tire was reinstalled. We see your invoice where you paid for the repair with our shop o inv #1485641. Please email us the Sam's club invoice where they document they were able to patch the tire on your 2021 Sieanna to [email protected]. Please also confirm the best mailing address and we'll mail a refund for the repair from Lex Brodie's plus as a $20 Aloha Gas card to add to our apologies for the time spend resolving this tire repair issue. Thank you very much for your time to share this feedback so we can take the proper actions to address your concerns. Sincerely, Scott D Williams 37+ year Lex Brodie's Team Member
