Honolulu, HI
I go to the Honolulu shop. Had an oil change, they offered to rotate my tires. I don't rotate my tires because the tread will be backwards, so I s asked them to move the front 2 tires straight back, the thing is I bought the front tires a year after I bought the back. So a week went by and I noticed the "front" was a tad more worn than the "back". I bought the "fronts" from Lex Brodies. So when I called the woman said bring it in and they'll do it right away. I went down there and a guy told me I need to make an appointment! WTF! The appointment was for 9:00, I waited an hour and they still didn't work on my truck! So around 10:00 they moved the back, back to the front, how it originally was. Remember I bought the fronts a year after the back tires. All the turning wears out the front more. 4 stars because I had to bring it back instead of them working on it the day I called like the woman said. BS! Another thing, they use Castrol oil, not my best choice for oil, from what I understand Castrol oil starts to gum up after a while. I have to rethink were I want my truck serviced. The tires are Toyo A/T Open Country tires for my 2011 Tacoma. They only have Michelin and BF Goodrich not Toyo. I don't like raised white letters on the tires, I like black walls. They had to order them from somewhere else. The place is ok I guess. The commercial says "brakes job" are good for as long as you own the vehicle. Not sure what that means. Does it mean when the brakes wear out they'll replace them for free??? I know another mechanic that's has excellent reviews and is a friends friend and specializes in Toyota but does other makes as well. The prices are a bit lower. Don't know what to do. 🤷
