Normally my experience here is really good. I reserved a drop off at 8:00 to have my thermostat replaced. The planned minimum time was for 4 hours. They said a diagnostic had to be run first. Plan to pick up the car tomorrow. This is an unusual experience for me here. I had expected that the thermostat would be replaced, and be done. Really disappointed right now. EDIT: I've cooled down from my earlier disappointment. I've been a Lex Brodie's customer for a very long time, and my past experience has always been excellent. No issues. Like, ever. It would have been very helpful to have had that brochure and explanation when I dropped my car off. It's all quite reasonable and I do understand the logic of a comprehensive system test on an aging vehicle. In the end it appears that it only needed a replacement of a 27 year old thermostat--as I suspected. Hopefully that's the end of it. The people and service here are reliably friendly and competent. So I had a case of the grumbles. They're still my go-to place for our cars. Mahalo for being a partner in keeping our cars maintained.
