Do NOT get your car inspected here! Lex Brodies is no different than every back alley screw you shop on the island. Most of the 5 star reviews must be by Lex Brodie employees cuz this place SUCKS. Brought my car in for a standard inspection --- right off the bat they tell me my tire tread is bad and I will need new tires --- except that I bought new tires just a month before this inspection - total SCAM! So everything passed - time to leave right? Nope guy comes out to put my sticker on and says that my rear windows are too dark and that I ether need to strip them or install new tint. Ya sure ill just drop $400 in new tint no problem. So take it downt the road to T &T and they say my tint is fine. Take it back to Lex Brodie and they say it is too dark just by looking at it. So I told the guy that i will get my car inspected somewhere else and eat the $15. First gas station I hit - passed - no problem. LB is in bed with T&T and probably many other businesses on their street. They will try to get every last cent of your cash - STAY AWAY.

No one is perfect, and neither was my first experience at LB's. But I still give this place 5-stars for their diligence in making things right. I brought my car in for a basic oil change. Unfortunately, the mechanics had somehow missed my car and the oil change was never completed. The manager promptly offered to do it within 30 mins, but I had to leave for work. I later sent an email via the LB website and received an apology directly from LB's President, Scott Williams. They quickly rescheduled my car for a complimentary oil change and cleaned the interior of my car. Mike Rizzo, manager, was very accomodating. LB's found that my tires and alignment needed to be fixed and provided me a discount for the service. They even offer complimentary car rental if the car needs to stay overnight. So awesome! Scott Williams and the LB's staff went above and beyond to help make things better. I always visit LB's instead of going to my car dealership. Great service and the prices are reasonable even without the discount. I highly recommend this place!

I was very satisfied with the tire service here. The cheaper tire was not in stock so I waited in their comfortable waiting room for the delivery from across town.

It's $50 for a regular oil change here and much more than what I fork out at Flagship. The only reason why I'm here is because I got a Groupon deal and wanted to check out a new place in town. I set a same day appointment and by the time I arrived, the oil change was done within the hour. It allowed me to take a short walk to Ward center and enjoy a quick shopping spree. Once they handed over the vehicle, they did not tell me what was inspected or what was topped off. I guess they were busy and just wanted to get vehicles in and out. I enjoy the customer service at Flagship much better than here. Even with the deal, we had to fork over an extra $5 because it was an SUV and required an extra half quart of oil. I still gave it 4 stars because my vehicle runs the same after my oil change. I was a bit annoyed when I arrived because I actually had to whine a bit about my appointment so they let me cut in line. My customer service advise is, don't take appointments if you can't honor them. Yelp Challenge #19/365

BACKGROUND- Should have gone to LEX BRODIES from DAY 1... but moving from Cali, I only heard of Sears Auto. Learn from me...go to LEX BRODIES!! The GOOD- Keith, Brandon, Warren. Freakin awesome. Nice. Knowledgeable. Trustworthy. Showed me what was wrong with my car and explained things in Jeanie Terms. Random but also good...is that they also recycle phone books. The BAD- n/a The UGLY- n/a

I had an appointment for 14:00 and didn't get out until 18:00. It was for an oil change! My car was on the rack for more than an hour before it got worked on. On top that, the coupon that I presented before work was started was rejected! It took them more than thirty minutes to read it and confer with associates from another store. I don't recommend this place and would have rated with zero stars if I was allowed to.

In my world, I equate car repair shops with car salesmen, insurance sales people, and real estate agents. I feel these people are generally sneaky and will do whatever it takes to make a big sale off of you. That being said, I never thought I would be giving a car repair shop 5 stars, but that's what they deserve! I needed new tires, a general check up and a safety check. An employee spent some time with me discussing the different options in tires. Like any store, they do promote their preferred brand and specials but they simply tell you about it and don't push it on you. They listened to what I needed and didn't try to up-sell or push me into spending more money. My car was in and out within an hour. I couldn't pick it up right away but they told me they close at 6 to just pick it up by then. When I got there, I realized they forgot to do the safety check. No problem! They did it right away and did it for FREE! The employees treat you like family and are really friendly, accommodating, and professional. I've found my one-stop shop for everything car related! Side note: I love how on the work order sheet there's an option for "Call when pau." It's so refreshing to see a local company offer such amazing service and are still able to stick to their local roots.

Another excellent performance by Lex Brodie's Tire Company. This time they fixed my husband's brakes. He waited until there was a grinding metal sound. It sounded awful! So I took it in on my way to work and they called my around lunch with an estimate to have it fixed. it was ready by the end of the day and I even saved money by using their Super Saver Coupons off their website. I didn't even have an appointment. Thanks Lex Brodie's! Once again, you pull through!

What a bunch of clowns! I had been here three times before and had been generally pleased. Today after arriving for my appt.(made in advance) I was told it would take about an hour, as I was next in line (an hour for an oil change? wow) I left to get lunch & do some shopping. When I returned (80 minutes later) I found that the service had not even been started. Nobody seemed to know anything, but one lady said they could "rush" it. They pulled the car into the bay, and then the service guys started to disappear. A rep asked one to help and was told that he was leaving for his lunch break. No one was there to work on the car. I stood alone for a while and finally just got in my car to leave. They may have been having a bad day, but someone of responsibility should have made things happen and/or make things right with the customer. Instead, employees scattered like cockroaches from a bright light. An extremely poorly managed place. I'll never go back.

They are awesome! So helpful and friendly. My car was in and out within the hour for a quick tire change. They carry a lot of tires (obviously) and so you don't have to wait for them to order a tire and have it shipped here. Its so convenient.
