I'm completely shocked and disheartened by my experience here. I went in for a simple safety check and oil change. Four hours later I get a call saying that there was a leak in my engine and the spark plugs needed to be replaced along with $800 worth of work that needed to be done. I trusted what they were telling me, though there were no signs of any leaking fluids in my garage and I have never had problems with my car, but agreed to let them work on it. Within a couple of days of getting my car back, the check engine light went on after just being serviced. I took it back to them and they told me it was going to be $500 more to fix. I decided to take it to dealership to get another opinion. Lex Brodie charged me another $150 for the diagnosis even though they had my car just a few days earlier. When I took it to my dealership, they found that Lex Brodie repaired the ignition coils by holding them down with PLASTIC TIES (like the ones used to tie garbage bags)!!!!! and the spark plugs were replaced by a less quality (cheaper) brand than recommended by the car manufacturer. I took my car back to Lex Brodie to ask if they would properly repair my car with the recommended parts. I was told they did what they did to save me money because the part I needed was $1500. I explained that the improper repair was not explained to me, because if it was, I would not have agreed to let them do an improper repair on my car. I was then told that they would look for the part and call me to rectify the situation. I didn't hear back, so I called them. The person who helped me was with someone else, so I left a message and two weeks later I still have not heard back from them. Not wanting to deal with them, I took my car back to the dealer who has since replaced the $38 part (which Lex Brodie told me was going to cost $1500)!!! This is a true story and I have the receipts, estimates and names to prove it. Again, I'm truly shocked by the treatment I received from this company. I have never given a negative review, but I wanted people to know my experience here.
