I don't even own a car and I love Lex Brodie's Tires. I do ride a bike and I go to Lex's when I need air. The guys there are always so helpful and they go beyond their job. Once my front tube was totally in the wrong way and a LB guy took the time to straighten it all out for me and he explained what he did. I really appreciate that extra help!

I've been around since Lex originally set up shop. This place is a shell of their former glory. If you are getting tires, you'd probably be fine. But getting a safety check was a real ordeal for me and turned into a wait that lasted longer than an hour.

Getting a flat tire can be a pretty traumatic thing, I suppose. You're driving down the freeway at 50mph (*ahem*) when you hear a loud pop, the sound of rubber rattling around in the wheel well, and suddenly it's getting harder to steer. You know you're in trouble, you can see the next hour of your life spinning out in front of you (braving the danger of cars whizzing by, getting the flat tire off, putting that sad little spare tire on), and all you can think of is having to shell out cash to fix this while dealing with some rude auto repair shop. Luckily, my tire experience didn't happen like that. A low-pressure warning light came on, and I spent the next few days filling the tire up with just a touch more air, going a while without any problems, only to see the little red light on the dash turn on again a few days later. I kept thinking that maybe I'd just run over one of the 3.74 million potholes that litter Honolulu streets a little too directly (thanks, Mr. Mayor!), that it wasn't a big problem. After about a week of this cat-and-mouse game with my tire, I decided I'd just go to Lex Brodie and have them fix the leak. I'd considered getting new tires for a while (even though I had only driven 20,000 miles on them, it'd been five years since I bought the car, so I figured it might be time), but I was pretty sure that the cost would stop me from buying a new tire, much less four. I drove to their Honolulu location on Queen Street and saw that they were busy. Mad busy. So busy that I was steeling myself to be ignored for a while as folks scurried around doing what they needed to. However, if there's one myth that turns out to be true about Lex Brodie's it's that their customer service is exemplary. Well, exemplary implies perfect, which it wasn't, because there was a woman who did seem rude (and is, unfortunately, the sales manager now), but with that one exception every staff person I encountered here was friendly and helpful. The sales manager at the time (I wish I could remember his name and if I do I'll edit the review) talked me through all of my replacement options, and when I told him I didn't want to spend beyond $X, he figured out a way to get me four high quality tires for around that figure. It was quick, painless, and I was an immediate fan of Lex Brodie's. Two days later, of course, the pressure warning light turned on again. I went back and the sales manager remembered me right away, what tire had been the problem, and pushed my car to the front of the pack that morning so they could figure out what went wrong. Turns out I had a cracked alloy rim, which was now bleeding the new tire out. Now, given that my car is five years old, I didn't hold out much hope of getting an identical replacement rim and dreaded the idea of spending even more money to get four new rims so that they'd all match. But my fears were unwarranted as the sales manager went online, found a mainland outlet that still stocked the rims, and had my new rim installed within a few days. During that time I remember being a little irked at how long this problem was dragging on, but in hindsight he went the distance in helping resolve the problem. Even better, he did it without pandering, or being condescending, or any of the things that would make you feel unappreciated as the customer. Sadly, I don't think he works there anymore and the lone person who did give off an attitude, well...she's now the sales manager. But perhaps she learned from her predecessor well enough to carry on the tradition of great service.

I went there to get my brakes checked because they were squeaking. Lex Brodie people were very nice and professional.
However, after my brake inspection, they told me that I had to change the rotors, calipers, brake pads, and hoses for a small fortune. I went to another shop for second opinion and all they found that needed some attention was some brake dust. They cleaned my brakes and the squeaking went away. I went to Midas for a third opinion, and they said the same thing "Nothing wrong; Probably just brake dust."
I've always heard good things about Lex Brodie's, but this makes me wary of their diagnosis.

This place was 100% better then the nightmare I encountered at another tire place in Ewa. Lex Brodie was easy to deal with, quickly made me an appointment over the phone, showed concern about my problem and did not treat me like an ignorant women the way many auto repair places do. They were so much cleaner and quicker then the other place too. I was in and out with 4 new tires in about an hour.They even corrected the damage the other place did to my car. I will recommend Lex Brodies and keep them in mind for my future needs.

"Thank You, Very Much!!!" And the other commercial I remember from small kid time, "If you aren't buying your diamonds from the House of Adler, you are paying too much." But back to "Thank You, Very Much." I unfortunately had a flat tire. Good thing I had a full size spare in the trunk, but I still wanted to put the original back on. I went to Lex Brodie's on the recommendation of my mechanic, who insisted that they wouldn't charge too much. So off I went to Lex Brodie's. I pulled up right into a dock and a guy came out and greeted me. I told him I had a flat tire in the trunk and wanted it back on where it belonged. He said no problem. He told me I could wait in the waiting area because it shouldn't be longer than 30 minutes. The waiting area is a bit dingy, but if my car was going to be quick, why go anywhere? There's a glass that let's you see what they're doing to your car and I watched what they did. It was pretty neat watching them take off the tire from the rim. There's some refreshments like coffee in the waiting area, but I don't know how old the coffee was since it was already afternoon. Then a lady called me and said my car was ready. I went to the counter, and paid. I wanted to thank the guy who did the work, but he mysteriously disappeared. So I jumped back into my car and left. I liked that I didn't have to make an appointment and they gave me very prompt service. And the price was reasonable. I'm sad that I couldn't thank the guy, but maybe he's shy.

Great Gas prices and they pump the gas for you still. Old school service station. I have also need to get Tires from here before and the service was stellar. I worked with a gentleman named Dennis and he help us out by explaining the difference in tires we needed for our work truck without trying to make us buy that were way to expensive. I only shop here for tires and balancing now.

Friendly people, good and speedy service. Conveniently located and they get the job done.

I went to this location because I was lazy to drive to kaneohe. Let me say, I was really surprised. Only 1 car in the parking lot. chehoo. The service is really good. The salesmen were on it and helped me quickly ( they weren't helping anyone else). Very knowledgeable staff. My car only took little over an hour.yeah. I asked the guys if it's always this slow. Reply" most of the time". So if anyone needs work done, remember this shop. Thank you very much. p.s. I failed to mention that this was a Saturday morning.

If you're in search of a good tire shop, this is the place to go. Check out the boys to give a great deal and definitely a friendly atmosphere. Rolondo the mechanic is very knowledgeable and he's pretty quick about fixing things and even if your car takes couple of hours, Windward Mall is right around the corner.
