It's been 10+ years since I been to Lex Brodies because the types of cars I've purchased, and always needing to go directly to the dealer for everything. In recent years, the prices at the dealers have been going up like crazy, just for a full service maintenance, I get quoted anywhere from $1100-1800. Yea, I don't think so. Haha. So I been checking around at different places, and am usually told they can't service my car or can only do certain things, as they don't have the tools or machines to removed certain parts. I finally decided to check out Lex Brodies and was told they could. So on Saturday (10/27), I took my car in and waited in the customer lounge. After a 3 1/2 hour wait, they called me and said they couldn't finish, because the tool they needed wasn't at this shop that I would need to bring my car back in on Monday. The fact that the sales person (Jeff) was super nice from the beginning and apologetic about the wait and not being able to finish, it made the whole situation perfectly fine and it didn't bother me at all. Plus I took a vacation day from work, Monday, so that helped. Haha. This morning I called and was told the tool they needed was in so I could bring my car back. As it was on Saturday, Jeff and the other staff was very welcoming and helped me right away. He said it shouldnt take to long, but I decided to walk over to ward anyway. After about 1.5 hours he called saying my car was finished. Waiting with credit card and ID in hand to pay, Jeff tells me I'm good to go. Not understanding, I still hand over my cc and ID. He tells me its ok, there is no charge and again apologize for me having to wait so long both days and having to come back. I was so in shock and didn't know what to say. To me it wasn't a big deal at all, but to them, it was an inconvenience they caused a customer. I felt a bit uncomfortable not having to pay, but that's what you call amazing customer service. I believe my 10 year break from this place is over and I will definitely be back for all my auto needs. I greatly appreciate the service received, and my car is running great :) Thank you!!!

3.5 stars I think, Ended up coming back for a safety check a year later, definitely better service. The wait was still a bit long, but much improved. I never expected it to be this smooth, overall I was happy with everything, Good job to Lex Brodie's.

The entire staff here is incredibly friendly and professional. I called and made an appointment for my car to be repaired. I was talked to like an intelligent woman, which in the mechanic's business is unfortunately rare. They went over all work needed with me and my original quote is exactly what I was charged in the end. They even told me that one of the repairs that I had thought I would need is actually covered under my service package for my vehicle (which means right away they saved me money). The price was much less than I had been quoted elsewhere and I didn't have to wait for any special orders, everything I needed/wanted was in stock and I had enough options to choose from to give me a choice, but not too many where I was overwhelmed with the decision. My vehicle drives and brakes like it did when it was new, and I love my new tires.

My Xterra was making a weird noise, and me not knowing much about cars, decided I really needed to find a mechanic fast. On a whim I checked out Lex Brodie's reviews on Yelp and I must say that they are spot on! I am so pleased with the service I received there. I called around mid-morning and they told me to bring my car right over. Unfortunately my car wouldn't make the weird noise again, but the mechanics did catch that I was in desperate need of new tires. I spent a while talking to them about which tires would be the best. We decided on one type and they put them on, but they said they could tell I wasn't comfortable (I was concerned with tire performance in the rain). So the manager offered to price match trail tires to the road tires they had put on my car. However, I don't need trail tires, so after deciding on the "best" ones they could recommend, they had someone drive all the way to another location to pick up the 4 new tires for me. Never once did I feel like I was imposing on them or being an irritating customer. They were more than happy to bend over backwards to make me feel happy with my purchase. Since I have a young baby, being safe on the road is my #1 priority. Oh- and the manager himself popped a dent out of my car for me. Where else can you go where the manager will do that for you?! Even though I spent a lot of money and the entire day in their office with a young baby, I am very happy with my first Lex Brodie's experience. I think that says a lot!

Right when I got there they took me in without delay. Very friendly straight up and very good price. My safety check was only $16 and I was in and out a little over a hour. Very professional and very honest. Great location so I could walk to windward mall and kill time there. The shop I was at 5 min before coming to these guys were being swamped by people and the guy at the front desk told everybody safety checks were going to be 2 1/2 hr waits and I wasn't the only guy there for safety checks. The guy argue front desk looked like he was stressing out with the customer he was working with. But these guys right when I got there I was leaving my vehicle with them for them to safety check which was at tops 3 mins by the time I got out of my truck. Long story short. I definitely recommend these guys.

I am one share the goodness . . . we're talking Lex Brodie's on Queen Street! The service is as good as Costco without having to question whether I got ripped off. The sales reps are good at what they do without the sales pitch - very upfront! I get the sense that they don't need to make a sales quota but what they do sale is service and to ensure that the quality of work done is correct. Compared to other places Lex's Brodie's and Costco are about equal in service and price. But since I work downtown the convenience is only one block away! I have heard that some customers have mentioned that Lex's has matched other places prices. I guess that depends who one speaks too. But the icing is the gas prices as of 10/9/12 the price per gallon for regular unleaded was at $4.29 much cheaper than the gas station in the surrounding area! I invite anyone to try out the Lex Brodie's at Queens and tell us your experience! See ya at the traffic commute!

Very disappointing experience here today. My car brakes were not making any noise when I brought the car in, The car was making a high pitch squeaking noise that went away when the brakes were applied. I know that the brakes were very close to being in need of new pads, but there was none of the typical noise or brake chatter at the time I took the car in. I have brought my car here for various reasons in the past and usually had good service. This time was a bit different. I called in the am and asked if I needed to have an appointment. The woman said that I could just bring the car in no need. When I asked how long it would take to have a brake check, and explained that I had a limited amount of time she then said that she would give me an appointment. She said she had a 9:30 spot and that it would take appx 1 hour to do a brake check. So I committed to the 9:30 appointment. After arriving and doing the initial paperwork i was told that they would call me when they had it done to let me know what they had found out and give me a quote. I then walked to Sports authority to spend some time and then to a friends shop in the area. After waiting just over 1.5 hours I called to check in with them. I was told that they had just moved the car into the shop and that there were several cars ahead of me as the reason why it was just now getting put on the rack. I realized then that the whole "appointment" was just to get me to bring the car in and they had no intention of keeping to their time estimate. After another hour I walked back to the shop and the car was still up on the rack. I waited in the customer lounge for another 30 minutes and called them on the phone again. They told me that they suggested a "front brake alignment" ( brake pads and some other bla bla bla) and a system flush total cost was over $400.00 After waiting for over 4 hours just for the diagnosis there was no time for any work to be done. Plus after they had taken the tires off I was told that the driver side back tire was not safe and they could not put it back on the car for safety reasons ( i knew it had a slow leak in it as I was taking it to Costco later in the day to get the tire replaced or fixed as i had informed them of this when I dropped the car off) The women told me that they could not fix it so they would have to replace it or put on the spare. This was the last straw. I just wanted to get out of this place... They put everything back together ( including putting the unsafe tire back on the car) and I left. The car no longer makes the squeaking noise so as I thought it was not the break pads but something that was just loose in the breaking system. Unfortunately for them after my experience today I wont be going back. I did take it to another mechanic a few days later and did have the brake pads replaced for 200.00

Great customer service!!! I had to do some major brake repair and they did a fantastic job! They even provided my family with a rental car while ours was in the shop. They were extremely nice, I will definitely be back for ALL vehicle repairs!

I found through my routine oil change at Sear that my tires needed replacing. Sears quoted me around $600 to replace two tires and a wheel alignment. The cost was so high that I declined. So i went to Costco and they said my tires needed to be ordered. I couldn't wait 2 weeks so i decided to go to Lex Brodie's. They quoted $214 per tire and told the guy that I'm going to Sears because they we're slightly cheaper. So he mentioned that they do price matching. He went on the computer to look up the competitors prices and when he came back he said he looked up Costco and it was $148 per tire. So i had them changed my tires for me and it took about an hour which is pretty quick. I didn't think my car was going to be ready that quick so i went to the salon to get my hair colored. Lex Brodie closes at 2pm on Sundays and my hair appt took longer than anticipated so i called to ask if i could leave my car there until the next day and they said no problem. Overall i love the experience and make sure you ask to price match.

Very nice people, but insanely slow. I called first thing in the morning and asked whether they could fit me in for a safety inspection or whether I'd need to make an appointment. The lady I spoke to told me to bring the car in straight away. I was there within half an hour. Not until I'd given them all my papers and handed over my car keys did they tell me it would take them 1 hour 45 minutes because there were other people ahead of me. I agreed, and they said they'd call me when they were done. I called 2.5 hours later; they still weren't done. In the end it took them 3.5 hours. When I brought the car back to get the final safety sticker after getting my registration, it took them another 45 minutes to decide that my car wasn't in compliance after all, and that I'd need to get a window tint removed. Which they can't do, so I have to take the car elsewhere. And it's now 3:30pm. Needless to say, my car was not road-ready that day. You know it's a bad day when the most efficient part of it was spent at the DMV.
