After recently purchasing a hybrid car, I decided it might be best to skip Lex and go to the specialists. The "specialist" (dealer) misdiagnosed my problem, ordered the wrong part twice, took 21 days, and charged me $600 to give me back a still broken car. I ended up using the internet to diagnose the problem, ordering the parts from Amazon, and paying Lex Brodie to install them. Lex charged me $350 for labor and fixed my car in half a day. I have a long history of not trusting mechanics; many regularly exaggerate problems, or lie to cover up blotched diagnoses. I used to do most repairs myself, but am past that point in my life. I am thankful to have a place like Lex Brodie where the culture promotes honesty and accountability. Unless you have some nice old guy you've been taking your car to for years, I would recommend using Lex Brodie for repairs, just maybe not on the day I wanna go in.
