I only gave one star because there is no option for 0 stars. I should have learned my lesson a long time ago to not go to this company for automobile servicing. About a year ago I was nearly charged for services I did not agree to pay for. Luckily, the manager stepped in and knocked the price down to the original quote. He was super apologetic, likely because he knew that I knew what happened was illegal. I only went back to this shop because I have a warranty for some services, and it is convenient geographically. They basically told me that it would cost thousands of dollars to fix my car, even though I suggested a different approach to fixing it. I went home and talked to mechanic friends, and then went to a different repair shop this morning, knowing that a different workaround should take place, one that was affordable. The other auto-shop was able to fix my car for a couple hundred dollars. When I asked my mechanic friend why Lex Brodie's was trying to charge me for so many services and parts, he said this: "They are doing what gives us good mechanics a bad name; they are trying to rip you off." Please know this- I might be a young female who looks like she knows nothing about cars (I actually know a little bit- thank you Google search!!), but I do have a father, a husband, and plenty of friends who are a phone call away, thank goodness or I would have been in serious debt. I'm not saying people should not go to this business- but just do your homework, get more than one estimate, and question the price of parts this company quotes. Good luck, Yelpers!
