I recently moved back home after being on the mainland for nearly 19 years. The last time I was at Lex Brodie's was when I was in college, so it had been a long time. The excellent service hasn't changed a bit, and everyone working there was extremely helpful. My car was ready quickly (I'd made an appointment for a routine service) and they fixed a squeak on my driver's door that had been driving me crazy! So glad to be back at Lex Brodie's!

I'm writing to reiterate my kudos to Lex Brodie's for their outstanding service, especially considering my far less than stellar experience at Cutter Chevy (one of very few 1-star ratings from me). The short story is that I TRIED to take my car to Cutter Chevy, but their appointment system needs serious work and their service is not even bad, it's nonexistent. So I decided to come back to Lex Brodie's. I needed a bunch of things done including a safety check and diagnostics for a check engine light. Richard helped me, and he was outstanding, keeping me informed on what my car needed and being very pleasant and friendly in the process. (The longer story is that the last time I took my car to Cutter Chevy, they identified some of the problems that Richard did, but didn't verbally tell me about it -- I only found out about them when I went home and reviewed the comments on my service papers, something I'd bet most people don't bother to do.) They even ended up not charging me for the diagnostics because the problem was not something they could fix -- they referred me back to the dealership. (Fortunately I have another option besides Cutter Chevy -- even though it's farther away, I'm going there instead.) From now on, when it comes to routine maintenance issues, I'm bringing my car back to Lex Brodie's and will save myself the aggravation of the lack of service at the dealership.

I went to Lex Brodies for renewal of my safety inspection on Mon 1/12/15 and they were super nice with great service. I had called around to about 3-4 service stations to see if they would take me on Monday ---- but to no avail! I called Lex Brodies and they scheduled me right in and then when I arrived for my appointment they took my car right in and called me when it was done. They carefully removed the old safety sticker and placed the new one! Mia was super nice and coordinated all the things that were needed to make it fast and convenient. Be aware that they also charge a tinting check - if you have tinted windows - I think that is something new .... don't know. Happy customer!!

Took our car in for routine maintenance (had an appointment) and the service was done quickly as promised. Everyone working there is genuinely friendly and helpful. I requested that they fix a squeaky door (my attempts with WD-40 didn't do it) and it was done, free of charge. Glad to be back home with a good mechanic!

First time at the Kalihi shop, and it's the same great service I get at my regular Farrington shop. I've done all my own car work most of my life just because I've found many mechanics to give questionable diagnoses. Now that I have a hybrid, and no longer do my own repairs, I am thankful that there is a place I can trust. Lex Brodie's gets my repeat business by being honest and repairing what actually needs to be repaired. Thank you Salesperson ZSC for being a stand up guy and for the quick tire service.

Great experience from beginning to end. Went online to decide which tires to purchase. After comparing the selection for my make/model of car, made my decision and got a quote. Then I made an appointment. Received confirmation of my appointment by email. All done online. When I arrived they were ready for me and didn't take any time at all. Easy, informative, professional and exactly as advertised. THIS is customer service!

They can do tires but go to a real shop for repairs. Often they get stuck on repairs that any home mechanic can do with a little googling, which is really annoying as they'll keep your car for a day or two before calling to tel you they won't fix it. I get the impression they accept every job then pick and choose what they actually want to work on.
