I had to get some new tires with balancing and alignment, plus a safety check and I got a few days to get it done before the safety expires. Plenty time. I've been in this area for less than a year and haven't found a shop I could go to on a regular basis. I usually like going to the small shops to get good service. Using YELP I was able to find a couple but the customer service was really lacking and none could take me in today. Lex Brodie was 4th on the list. I've used them before but not in this location. I was very reluctant based on my own experience with. I showed up 8:30am and there is a line. I waited for about 20 minutes as 3 attendants did their best processing the line. Very friendly staff letting us know it will be just a little while to process everyone. I finally get a gentlemen who can accommodate my request. Gives me the options on the tires, I make my selection, and he knocks $170.00 off the final price. I'm all set ready to go then he tells I have to leave the car and it may not get done until 2:30pm. Wow. i got stuff to do and that's not going to work. I ask can I bring it back later when they're ready to work on it. He gets on their system, for appointments, sets me up for 12:00 appointment. That works for me. i brought it back in time, and they completed the job by 2:30pm. They did tell me he had to replace one light for an extra $5 charge. Fine. Cool by me. I was very happy. That night looking over the paper work for my beach car, I realize everything is expired, registration and safety check. When I was there earlier, the number one job I saw being requested was safety check. I need to get this done right away. I jump on to their website to make an appointment and it will not allow one for the next day. It needs to be about a week out. I decide I'll call in the morning and make an appointment. When I do, I'm told it's book solid for the day. I explain my situation and the girl tells me what is best to do. First, I need to go to Satellite City Offices to get the registration. They will start the process but will not finish until they see the Safety Check has been initiated. Then, bring the car in for the safety check. They will get to this when they can after they process all appointments. When that will be, they don't know, because some cars will need extra work to pass. I just have to leave it there and it will take hours before it is completed. Now, the safety will fail, because the registration is not legit until the safety check is passed. At that point, I will take the safety back to Satellite City Offices, Ala Moana, for the registration. After that, back to Lex Brodie, show them the registration that will get the passed safety and decal on the car. After hearing that, I know that is going to be a whole day affair. The Satellite City Office doesn't open until 9:00am. I get ready quickly. Hit the shower to refresh me for what is to come. I have a big breakfast I cook quickly, omelette and sausage and rice. I pack my computer, a book, my glasses, camera, cables and phone. Everything happens as planned, as explained to me over the phone. So, thank goodness there is a customer wait room that has coffee, some vending machines, well air conditioned, tv and the best part, free wifi. I set up office and I'm quickly connected to the world making my big billion dollar decisions. A couple things to note. There is a Lex Brodie Museum there. I think it's a cool thing. They should really build that up because I do consider Lex part of the Island history. I remember hearing his tv commercials during the weekdays around when the news was on. It was so much we got sick hearing them. That was then, and now I miss the nostalgia of it. If you have the Hawaiian Airlines Credit Card and like to get miles, every time you use the service you can get a 1mile for every $2spent. It's very simple to do. Sign up for their Customer Rewards Program and you will get them automatically, and that includes any services used 30 days in the rear from the initial effective date when you sign up. I did this. Using my card to pay combo with Lex for the services on both my cars, I earned closed to 1000 miles. I'm very happy for the service and for the rewards.

I was in need of tires badly and they were going to close soon. If I got there soon, they said they would service my vehicle. I arrived and they promptly took care of me. They were all professional and got my new tires balanced and installed in less than an hour. I love my new tires. My ride is quieter and handles a lot better.

Lex Brodie's always give me a great service at a good price. However, I was perplexed at the most recent quote to replace my radiator on my 2006 Forester. There was a line item to replace the radiator (understandable). There was another line item to replace 2 hoses attached to the radiator for $110.xx, Yet another line item to replace the thermostat for $110.xx. It was about $847 total. Couldn't you guys replace the radiator, the hoses and the thermostat at the same time for one fee. My perception was that I would not be getting a good value for my money so I decided to go elsewhere where I had the radiator, hoses and thermostat replace for over half the cost. That's over $400 in savings. Perhaps there was someone new on staff who was giving me a quote. I always look for value and I always will go back to Lex Brodie's time and time again. But this time I thought the quote was way off the mark.

From start to finish, Lex Brodie's is excellent through and through! Excellent customer service representatives through their auto technicians all done in a relaxing atmosphere! I highly recommend Lex Brodie's in Kaneohe!

Went for a safety check and it took 90 minutes. After initial inspection, my car stood idle for 30 minutes in the parking lot. After asking what's next CSR said picture taking. I don't think a safety check should take that long. At a previous place that I 've been to it took less than 30 minutes
