I had no appointment - had to wait two hours but that was what I was told about the approximate wait time. Once the car was in the bay, it was quick.

We brought our car here in August to replace all 4 tires and get the alignment re-done. They were super fast, courteous and well priced IMHO. I was raving about them for days. THEN our alternator went out so I decided to go back to them. We brought our car in 3 days ago with what we assumed was a bad alternator. They said the would test it and let us know. They called about 40 mins later and said it was the alternator and gave us a quote of $575. We said thank you, call us when its ready. When they called back they explained they had to try 3 brand new alternators in it and it still kept sputtering out. I asked if it was safe to drive. They said yes. I showed up with my 3 small children and they gave me the number to someone who works on electronics within cars and told me he would help me. We got halfway home and I realized the AC was no longer working despite working perfectly when we dropped it off. We decided to take the car back in the morning. We assumed something had gotten unplugged and just needed a quick fix. I went to start my car in the morning...and it wouldnt start. I called Lex Brodie's and asked and they said they werent sure but to bring it in and they would take a look. We later in the day jumped the car and brought it to them. It was excruciatingly hot. My kids were soaked in their own sweat after the 7 minute drive from our home to Lex Brodie's. When we arrived the guy behind the counter treated me like I was an idiot. Telling me there was no way the AC was damaged during the THREE alternator changes and went on to tell me the two components are no where near each other. Completely false. The alternator literally sits within inches of the compressor and low pressure port. I asked if they could just please take a look because my kids were so sick from the heat. They still denied any involvement despite noting that the AC worked completely fine when we dropped it off. They quoted me $85 for an AC diagnostic reading explaining to me that "these machines are expensive and we have to charge to use them" then they explained to me (after telling me to bring it in...) that they would not have time to look at it today. SO...I took my three sweaty over heated children to the waiting area and let them cool off and get a drink of water before undressing them and putting them in the car for the ride back. ON the way out the door I got a half hearted "sorry we couldnt do anything for you" to which my 9 year old responded that they could...they were just choosing not to. We got the car home and called around to mechanics to get an idea of where else we could try. We made an appointment with another mechanic in the morning. We went to start the car...(having driven it exactly 9 miles since we dropped it off at Lex Brodies)...not only it would it not turn over but oil came spraying out of the exhausted and it was spitting white smoke. This time I had my husband call and tell them we had put nearly $600 of work into a car for it to return MORE broken than it was before. They denied any involvement (accidental or not) in the now even more broken car and said "We dont know what happened between when you dropped it off and now"...but AGAIN offered to look at it. Because we needed quick answers we had the car towed to them AGAIN...hoping maybe this was just a fluke...to which they called and said they would not get to it today or until tomorrow afternoon. At some point the lady I was speaking with read off the notes and mumbled that they pulled SIX CODES off of my car for various reasons during the initial visit to replace the alternator and FROM THAT their BEST GUESS was the alternator needed replacing. SO in full when I went to pick up the car the first time...they let me drive a car off of their lot that was not repaired even after charging me $575 and told me it was safe to drive my 3 children in EVEN AFTER I explained to them that I was grateful to have a fully operating car because of the commute to my sons school every morning in town traffic. I KNOW they had to have known something wasnt right because they kept exclaiming that they let the car run for a "good long while" to make sure it was ok.... Shame on them. I cant help but imagine had I decided to drive my son to school the following morning only to have my car breakdown and spew oil and white smoke with NO AC with my kids and my carpool kids in my car with NO AC....totally unsat! I am 100% fed up with this company. I am so bummed because they were FANTASTIC the first time and they have been a nightmare ever since.

Lex Brodie's across Pearlridge is amazing!! There wan't a long line to check in my car. The staff was very friendly. The clerk made a minor mistake on my what needed to be done to my car so she discounted the service repair. If you are looking for fast dependable car repair services I would highly recommend Lex Brodie's in Aiea!!

Had my Tahoe towed to Lex Brodies in Waipahu to have it mechanically repaired, a day or two later I called on status spoke with Lilo who informed me that they did not have the tools to fix my vehicle and needed to be taken to a Chevy Dealer. I was like uughh nooo because we all know how pricey that can get, Lilo then recommended Servco so I called Servco in Waipahu however Servco's earliest appointment was in three weeks, I panicked and thought I would have to tow my vehicle from Lex Brodies back to my house then back to Servco, that's money, darn. Anyhow I spoke with Lilo again and informed him of my appointment in three weeks and he was the bomb!! He allowed me to leave my car there for three weeks until my appointment at Servco so I did not have tow twice, sd my vehicle wasn't in the way and it would be fine to leave it there. I was so relieved and saved money in every way. Lex Brodies HIGHLY RECOMMENDED, been going there for years to have my tires changed etc and prices are very reasonable and these guys are for sure family oriented and honest, they tell you what needs to be fixed asap and what can wait.
