Aiea, HI ("Pearlridge")
A bit disappointed in the service this time around. Pearlridge store had my vehicle for a day and a half with little communication as to what was being done. They did a warranty repair at no cost which was good but I had a check engine light issue that I wanted checked also and was told the diagnostic tech wasn't available until the next day. Since my warranty repair was going to be long I asked for them to repair what they could and hold the vehicle till the next day when the tech returned. They following day I didn't hear from them so I called in the afternoon which they told me that my warranty repair was done but the tech is still working on my check engine light issue and they would get back to me. I called back a few hours later to find out the status as it was getting close to closing when they told me that they found my issue which was a sensor but but was unable to pinpoint the actual problem after resetting the diagnostic and test running it to see if it would trigger another CEL. They then told me that they would waive the diagnostic fee and if the light comes on again to bring it back in. So I picked it up and about a mile away from home the CEL comes on again. After that, I felt unconfident that Lex Brodie had the ability or the time to properly diagnose and repair my vehicle. Which is fine, given that sensors can be tricky if misdiagnosed, but a bit disappointing. I would've preferred Lex Brodie's just telling me it was a repair that they couldn't do then to say if the light comes on bring it back and we'll look into it again. I took it to the dealer and it was diagnosed the same as Lex Brodie's did, and I had them repair it. I'm just disappointed in my experience this time around, but I will still be a Lex Brodie customer. I've had excellent service up until this point.
