I have been going to Lex Brodies, twice/year for eight years for my annual safety inspection, oil change, and twice a year tire rotation. I always book an appointment online. All of my previous experiences have been outstanding. This visit was not up to par. I scheduled three services for my car: safety inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. It was very busy when I dropped off my car and all intake personnel were running around. I had to wait longer than usual, but everyone kept apologizing. Then I was checked in, signed a paper that I didn't read as well as I should, and was told it would be 1-1.5 hours. I was quite surprised by the estimated time as usually it would take four hours for these three services. My car was done in about an hour. When I was being checked out, I realized that only the safety inspection was done. I pointed out to the woman checking me out that I had wanted an oil change and tire rotation. She double checked my appointment booked online and saw that I had requested three services. I was told that they would get to these services as quickly as possible. After about another 1.5 hours, I was told my car was ready. I paid for the oil change, filter, and safety inspection. There was no charge for the tire rotation as I had purchased my tires at Lex Brodies and the rotation was free. The next day, I noticed a small pool of clean oil under my car on the floor of my garage -- at least half a cup. I called Lex Brodies and was told to bring my car back immediately. When I arrived and tried to check in, the same intake person as the day before pulled my records from the previous day and to my surprise told me that the mechanic had been unable to remove the oil filter as it appeared my coolant was leaking and I was to take my car to the dealer. What?! No one had said a word to me the day before that there had been a problem. I asked why I was charged for a filter and oil change if it hadn't been completed the day before. I was told I would get a refund. I asked if someone could check the oil level in my car to determine if my car would be safe to drive it from Kaneohe to Honolulu. I was told to take a seat in the waiting room. After about 30 minutes, nothing had happened and I went back out to request someone to look at my oil level as I wanted to go to the dealer ASAP. The head mechanic came to me and told me she would put my car up on the racks and take a look. She determined that the oil pan and plug were leaking and didn't see any leak of the coolant. She told me she thought she could change the oil filter and replace the oil pan plug that appeared to be leaking. Oil would also be added if needed. This was done after a delay in getting the parts for my vehicle and I wasn't charged for any of this work. I was very pleased with this "head" mechanic who took charge of the situation and corrected the errors made the previous day. I left satisfied and remained satisfied until a few days ago, I received a notice from Lex Brodies that my tires are due for rotation! What?! I went back and looked at the papers from both 3/4 and 3/5/24 to see if it mentioned rotating my tires. Nope! Even after pointing out on 3/4 that neither the oil change nor tire rotation had been done, they still missed rotating my tires! I am not happy and don't really want to return a third time to Lex Brodies to complete the three services that I had originally scheduled to be done. This was especially disappointing after the great service I have received all the previous visits.
