After everything that has happened today, I can say that I DO NOT trust any of the mechanics that work here. As a disclaimer, the car I'm talking about is a 2007 Saturn Aura owned by my MOM. NOT ME. Even though this is the case, she has a VERY hard time speaking English (and because of this I help her communicate with others who speak English.) I've been having power steering problems since September, which was when I took it to Lex Brodie's. As for the problem they said that my power steering pump needs to replaced. They keep the car for 2-3 days--which is fine--but don't call me back. I call them and they say they haven't even started working on my car. Excuse me? Why did I bring my car when you SAY you're going to fix it if you're not going to fix it? Anyways, they end up giving me back my car in the next couple of days. Fast forward to yesterday (10/30/17). My car runs completely out of power steering. That shit is leaking under my car like a stream, puddles of power steering everywhere. Long story short I get my car towed straight to Lex Brodie's because they should have fixed the problem the first time. As of today (10/31/17) my car (or well my mom's car lol) has an estimate of how much it's gonna cost me to repair my car. $1,600. Yes! You read that right. One thousand six hundred fucking dollars AND MORE to repair my power steering hose. Jfc. That's an arm and a leg for my mother--let alone myself. And not to mention I got sassed by this dude named Jack. Fuck off, Jack, I know what hoses are, damnit! He also sassed my mom! So learn some manners, Jack. Very unprofessional. I called Hiram's Texaco and they legit shit bricks when they heard how much I was going to pay. Their estimate? $300 max for the part and less than $400 for labor. Fucking Lex Brodie's....stealing my money and shit. As of right now, my car is in another shop getting looked at right now. Let's hope that my power steering pump from September was fixed! It's sad that companies will try to take advantage of customers who don't speak fluent English.
