Question. What time does the work actually start when you make a 2 o'clock appointment at Lex Brodie's Tire Shop. I have no idea. After 1 hour and 45 minutes of hanging out in the waiting room I thought, my car really should be done. It's only 2 tires. I came out of the waiting room only to see my car had not moved. The head guy saw me walking towards him and he looked at my car as I said,"When I make a 2 o'clock appointment, what time do you actually start working on my car?" He said, "I have no idea why they aren't working on your car." So he motioned to a guy and that guy got in my car and wrangled it on a rack that just emptied. I say wrangled because the guy didn't go straight on, he edged it on by going back and forth at an angle a few times and opening the door and looking down to see whether he was on the rack. Heaven forbid he actually took a straight shot and got one of the other workers standing around to guide him on the rack first time. I heard one guy holler, no go more right. Wow! So, as I was grinding my teeth watching that dog and pony show I turned to the guy and asked how long it was going to take now that the car was on the rack - cause there was nobody actually making a move towards the car with an impact wrench like they were going to remove a wheel. It was on the ground over the rack waiting - on the ground! The same guy said, well, it's just the way it goes in this business with delays and all. That's when I lost it! Get it off the rack and give me the keys! He could have said almost anything except that delays are just the way it goes. I was out of there! Almost $600 worth of tires and they say what?!? I guess I should have learned when a couple months ago I bought 2 new 265-45 20 tires from them and they installed the wrong size 245-45 20 tires. And to make matters worse, instead of mounting them on the front or back of the car, as they should, they put them on one side. Say what! I didn't even notice until the next day when picking up the grandkids in Kaneohe, I saw 2 different tracks in the mud left and right. Then I saw the tires were not even the right size! OMG! I went back and they gave me the right size at the smaller tire price. I guess that sucked me back in. Oh that and they actually started working on the car shortly after I pulled in. Ok, full disclosure, they were going to install new tire pressure sensors in the tires for free. The installation was free, I was providing the sensors because they don't stock the kind my tires need. And they needed to take the wheels off anyway because the balance was wrong. Damn! This should not be this hard! Arrrrggggggg!!!!! I remember Lex Brodie's to have their stuff together. Man, those times are gone!
