I went in to see about getting new spark plugs and cables. I was assisted by Zach, who was very friendly and helpful; I was also pleased that they were willing to help me without an appointment. Because Zac was so helpful, I also inquired about new tires. Zach provided me a verbal estimate for the spark plugs, cables, and tires. The estimate seemed fair. He then and asked me to sign a form that he said prevents them from doing any additional work without my consent. Since that sounded fair, I did not take the time to read the disclosure (and I should have known better). He then said he would contact me later that day when the truck was ready for pickup. Later that day Zach contacted me and told me that while his technician was working on my vehicle, he noticed that the radiator was in bad shape. He recommended that I replace it and quoted me a total of $1400 for everything including the tires and spark plugs. I agreed to the work, based on the verbal estimate Zack quoted me. I was contacted the next day and told my vehicle was ready for pickup. I went in the following day and was told that the total was $1700. That was $300 more than what Zach had quoted me over the phone the previous day. I also discovered, after reading the form, that Zach had me sign a Customer Waiver of Right To a Repair Estimate disclosure; which he misrepresented to me as a form that requires Lex Briodies to contact me before they do any additional work on my vehicle. Shame on me for not taking the time to read the form, but Let Broodie's employees shouldn't misrepresent disclosures to their customers; I think that's deceitful. I'm also very unhappy that the total was $300 more than what Zach had quoted me over the phone to previous day, without explanation.
