I scheduled an appointment to drop off my car at Lex Brodie's for a safety inspection. Last year, my car passed without any issues, and I have not made any changes to my car since then. However, this year, it did not pass due to the tint. After researching, I found that the tint laws between 2023 and 2024 have remained the same. I'm unclear as to why my car would pass last year but fail this year with no change in the regulations. When I arrived, there was no greeting upon entering the building. There were three employees at the desk, and no other customers in line. We waited for a while until a new employee finally welcomed us and said someone would assist us shortly. However, she mentioned that she was unable to help because she was still in training. Upon picking up my car, I asked the receptionist about the tint issue, and she said she would follow up with the team and asked me to wait. After waiting for over an hour, I got back in line to ask again, and I received the same response. While the receptionist was polite, I do feel she did forget about us as it shouldn't have taken that long to get a response. Additionally, when I was ready to leave, there were cars blocking my car. I had to go back inside to ask for assistance and ended up waiting an additional 20 minutes. Although I was not charged for the inspection, I spent over three and a half hours dealing with this issue. If the tint had been correctly inspected last year, I would not have had to waste this much time. The only reason I am leaving two stars is because I didn't have to pay for the inspection. However, I would have much preferred to pay the $25 safety inspection fee elsewhere rather than have my time wasted like this. Overall, I'm highly disappointed with the service.
